95 g-14 troubles
Had a g-14 come in symptoms where locked up engine. Due to no oil in the crank case. Got the engine out found the rod bearing welded to the crankshaft. I honed the block installed new rings, piston , rod and bearing. I polished and inspected the crankshaft and it was in good shape. Got the engine all cleaned up and reassembled and installed back in the cart. I went through the carb just because it had been sitting awhile. Fired up and ran but had no power and was boggy and fouled a brand new ngk plug (bpr2es). After going back through the carb, valve adjustment, fuel pump and a day later I came to the conclusion that the ignitor box was at fault. Sure enough after installation of the new ignitor the cart ran great. But I couldn't believe after the rebuild that there would have been other issues but it did not come in running.
