Re: What did you do to/for your EZGO today?
rear leaf springs, bushings, and shocks
The bolts in the shackles didn't have heads on the inside and were spinning. I cut them off, and replaced with 3/8-16 grade 8. I used the Modz heavy duty rear springs The Gold Cart King rear shocks are not long enough for the HD springs. (they don't tell you this) I ended up ratchet strapping the axle up to get them in. Also they don't come with a bushing kit. The bushing kit I purchased with the shocks did not have the proper nut for the top post of the shock. (GK left out that tie bit too) GK tech said to not install shock on a cart with HD rear springs. (They don't tell you that either) All in all I will most likely avoid GK due to these issues. |

I installed an audible turn signal beeper. It plugs in in place of your OEM flasher relay. Very easy plug and play install. Bought it off of Ebay from a seller in Australia and shipping was pretty quick.

Brought it home from the campground. Trying to figure out how to get some more torque without breaking the bank. Wanted to just get a navitas controller but heard that's not gonna help much on my series cart sadly.

I thought it was you got better torque on a series cart with a controller but not speed? Maybe I have that reversed? |

If it is 36v, you can go to 48v and get more torque and speed.

Re: What did you do to/for your EZGO today?
That's what I've heard but the rep at buggies unlimited told me a controller alone wont do much. I don't really want to spend a ton or ill just upgrade to a 48v cart or something. I have looked at the Plum Quick motors too.

FWIW I have a D&D high torque motor. It's been in the cart for 12 years now. Lots of torque to get up some pretty steep hills around here.
