I am Back 2015 L6 Ezgo
I am stoked I finally got my L6 after selling my 4seater 2009. wife is happy so I am happy. now let talk governor and torque
I was told by the sales rep that if I increase the governor that I loose torque if I am use it for skeet and carry 5 big oilfield guys will this effect my low torque and performace? i have to floor gun racks but i need a shell basket i made my last one and could do so again |

If its gas I cant see how adjusting the governor would have anything to do with torq.Great looking cart Have fun with it!!!

Looks good, love the color!
You get that cart at dealer in San Antonio? On the showroom floor, mine was parked next to a unit just like it. I adjusted my governor and went from a 17mph to a 27mph top speed. I haven't noticed any difference in torque or hill climbing ability. I have climbed some pretty long and steep hills. |

Re: I am Back 2015 L6 Ezgo
Changing the governor will only affect top speed, not torque. That being said there are rumors the new Kawasaki drive trains have plastic gov gears and can come apart and do damage. I personally have not seen it happen and my RXV, same drivetrain, is set where it revs to right below 4k rpm with just me in it. Roughly 25-26 mph with 21 inch tires. Just be careful with a lifted 6 passenger..

Re: I am Back 2015 L6 Ezgo
Sorry, no pics but it is the cable withe spring attached to it on top of the transmission. Just tighten it up to get your desired speed. If it is too tight it will be jerky from a start..
