solar accessory battery maintainer
Has anyone put solar panels on the roof. Of their cart to maintain charge in the accessories batteries? I tried a search but didn't see any posts.

Re: solar accessory battery maintainer
There was. I think the consensus was that it wouldn't help much. It's a trickle charger with about 3 or 4 amps output. But then again I may be wrong. :) I've got solar panels on the roof of my workshop to charge my cart.

Re: solar accessory battery maintainer
SC Carts has a setup to charge carts with a panel on the roof. Not what you're looking for I know, but an extremely similar principle.

Re: solar accessory battery maintainer
I was thinking to use 3 -15w panels from harbor freight. I don't know that it will bring it back from a depleted charge of course but I would like to keep the charge up in the auxilery battery only not the cart pack itself.

How big is that charger and how does it perform for the task?

Jjance, what kind of set up are you using on the roof of your shop to charge the cart? May be another option down the road.
