Melted post
My EZGO has melted a post on one battery. I had the connection tight and within 30 minutes of riding one post melted down. What can it be?

Re: Melted post
WELCOME TO THE FORUM. A burnt terminal is caused by heat, created by a poor contact point or bad cable/fitting. I have seen them tight and still melt. The terminal connections have to be clean. The oxidation at that point will cause the problem. It usually is not visible unless the cable is removed......I suggest new cables and a good battery cleaning. If you can't do cable$, clean the fittings till they are shiny. The post can be repaired and used. There is a thread in here on "how to" somewhere. I'll post it in a second...
